The Holy Spirit is creating a new movement within the United Methodist Church and the Central Texas Annual Conference. It is a powerful movement that is calling us to reclaim our Wesleyan heritage of starting new churches and transforming established congregations for one purpose: to offer Christ to all people in all places. The United Methodist Church has set a goal of equipping 1000 church planters who enable Annual Conferences to start 650 new congregations by 2012. Each new start will commit to starting another congregation within its first 10 years.

Together We Can Make A Difference

We need to create new places for new people through starting new churches and by transforming established congregations to re-evangelize the Central Texas Annual Conference. Is God calling you to join this new Spirit led movement? God is calling some people to:

• be new church missionaries, go where the people are, and lead those people to Christ
• pray for new church missionaries and new church starts as they emerge
• become members of a new church start and use their gifts and resources to help make world-transforming disciples for Jesus Christ
• support this incredible vision by becoming SHAREHOLDERS or increasing their number of shares

God is calling healthy, vibrant churches to multiply their ministries in ways that will reach more people, younger people and more diverse people in their communities.

To become a share holder or to increase your number of shares, please come by the church office and pick up a Center for Evangelism and Church Growth brochure containing a Share Commitment Card like the one below.
