At FUMC Belton, we celebrate All Saint's Day on the first Sunday in November to give thanks for the faithful departed who now live with God in heaven and for all the good God put in their lives.
At FUMC Belton, we recognize the deaths of church family members who have died in the past year with a white rose. In addition you may dedicate a white rose in memory of a loved one who died in a previous year, or who was not a church member and died this past year. We are asking for a donation of $3.00 for each of these additional dedications.
At FUMC Belton, we also give thanks for the new life that has been born into our church family with a red rose. You may also dedicate a red rose in honor of the birth of a non-church member during this year. We are asking for a donation of $3.00 for each of these additional dedications.
During the ceremony, as the names of each group are read, a rose is placed in a vase in their honor. The vase and roses are pictured above. We also ring the church bell as each name is read.
