Sewing Ministry
Thank you to the Rush Family for the donation of several large tubs of fabric, poly-fil and sewing incidentals.  We’ll be able to make many items for so those who are in need.
We have a Sewing Ministry here at our church.  This is for anyone that sews, knits, crochets or just wants to get together!

We meet in the basement at 1:00pm for 2 – 3 hours on the second Saturday and the 4th Monday at 1:00pm.

At this time, we have several projects in the works; neck pillows for chemo patients, port pillows for people with ports inserted, fidget blankets for Alzheimer patients, more pillowcase dresses, and drainage bags.
Whew!  Busy people!

   Mission Statement:
FUMC has a volunteer ministry whose mission is to sew a thread of God’s love into the hearts of people.
Please send an email to Paulette Whitfield at or Janet Jordan at if you have any questions.

Anyone is welcome to join us!
You don’t have to have sewing skills.  We will teach you if you want to learn or you can cut out patterns, iron, do hand work or just visit with us!  Do you crochet, knit, do needlepoint?  Bring your project!  You also don’t have to stay the whole 2 – 3 hours.  We have a couple of sewing machines people can use, you may bring your own or donate one you no longer use.
We donated approximately 100 dresses and shorts to Helping Hands!
