We have begun a Sewing Ministry here at our church.  This is for anyone that sews, knits, crochets or just wants to get together!

We meet in the Fellowship Hall at 1:00pm for 2 – 3 hours on the second Saturday and the 4th Thursday at 1:00pm.

At this time, we have several projects in the works; neck pillows for chemo patients, port pillows for people with ports inserted, fidget blankets for Alzheimer patients, and drainage bags.
Whew!  Busy people!

We made the news!!! The Temple Daily Telegram came and visited our sewers.  Check out the article here.
Sewing Ministry
   Mission Statement:
FUMC has a volunteer ministry whose mission is to sew a thread of God’s love into the hearts of people.

Please send an email to Paulette Whitfield at pjwhit97@gmail.com or Janet Jordan at djordan102830@prodigy.net if you have any questions.
Anyone is welcome to join us!
You don’t have to have sewing skills.  We will teach you if you want to learn or you can cut out patterns, press, do hand work or just visit with us!  Do you crochet, knit, do needlepoint?  Bring your project!  You also don’t have to stay the whole 2 – 3 hours.  We have a couple of sewing machines people can use, you may bring your own or donate one you no longer use.
We donated approximately 100 dresses and shorts to Helping Hands!
