Kids will travel back in time to Babylon! Here's what happens each day:

  1. Opening Celebration: To start things off on the right foot, kids and adults gather at the opening Celebration for a fun time of singing and worshiping together! Next they join their Tribes (small groups) for interaction.

  2. Tribe Time: During Tribe Time, Tribe members gather on their "home base" blanket and discuss daily God Sightings-ways they have seen God in action in their everyday lives. Then they get ready to step back in time by checking their "itineraries" (daily schedule), putting on their Banduras (colorful Tribe identifiers), and receiving 3 darics ("Babylonian" coins) to spend in the Marketplace.

  3. Visiting Babylon (Daniel's Adventures; Palace Playground; Marketplace Shops): Then the Babylonian adventure begins! Tribes visit the busy Marketplace, draw pictures on Color-Changing Paper, participate in Palace Playground activities, and meet Daniel. Kids will hear his perspective on Babylon, the king and his dreams, worshiping a golden statue, and other stories from Daniel's time in captivity.

  4. Tribe Time: Before finishing the day, kids and adults return to Tribe Time. They talk about the daily Bible Point and connect Daniel's story with their own lives. Fun Tribe Time activities help cement the Bible truths they have learned at Babylon.

  5. Closing Celebration: Finally, everyone comes together for a closing time of celebration and worship. At Babylon VBS, kids will learn about keeping faith and the power of God's love and his Word!
