Beginning the week of September 12th
Another great collaboration of Mt. Zion UMC and Belton First UMC
Come join us!
Community groups essentially are small groups where people will gather together in community with one another — possibly sharing a meal together, reading the Bible, having discussions, praying, and serving together. Community groups enable people to build authentic, meaningful relationships with God and one another as they share life with each other and become mature disciples of Christ. Community groups will meet out in the community – such as in people’s homes, at parks, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, or even at the church. Contact a community group leader if you are interested in joining a group.

Description: If you are 50 years old or older, please consider joining us for a Community Bible Study, where we share the Word and our faith experiences, no matter where you are along your faith journey. We want to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and each other, sharing fellowship with believers and those wanting to explore Christianity for the first time. Initially, we will use the Serendipity Bible to guide discussions (no need to purchase this Bible, Dee and Regina will provide you with all you need for this weekly study). There will be time for praying for one another and sharing prayer concerns and joys.
“Serendipity is what happens when two or three get together and share their lives and the Holy Spirit does something beautiful when you least expect it”. Serendipity Bible, Fourth Edition, New International Version
“I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.” Exodus 19:4
Description: We are a multigenerational group of women who meet biweekly to discuss scriptural support to finding peace in identifying and prioritizing goals, whether it is related to family, work, or our faith journey.

Description: We all have stories to tell. In our fast-paced, technological society, we seldom find time to reflect and write those stories, whether they’re childhood memories, faith journeys, travel delights, or creative undertakings. These gatherings may provide the supportive environment needed to record those experiences. We learn from each other as we share and grow as writers.
Description: This is a mixed group of men and women having coffee and dessert. And we’re discussing the ideas surrounding anxiety, fear, and self-doubt in the age of the pandemic and life in general. Why are we anxious and fearful and what can we do to prevent it is the topic of discussion. This is a biblical based discussion with real life applications based on the book, “Finding Peace in an Anxious World.” This is an opportunity for everyone to gain a measure of control over their anxiety.
