Go Beyond Thankfulness
1 Samuel 1:9-11, 20-24

When the Lunar Module landed on the moon, Buzz Aldrin celebrated Communion-in his tradition it is called the “Eucharist”-a word for thanksgiving. Even before Neil Armstrong descends the ladder and takes the first step, there is a powerful act of thankfulness.
So, what is the difference between thankfulness and gratitude? Gratitude is a FEELING. Thankfulness is an ACTION. There is a BENEFIT in thankfulness. Thankfulness builds a stronger RELATIONSHIP with God. Until we let go of the past, we aren’t going to be WHOLE. True THANKFULNESS is giving our lives in thanks.
Memory Verse:
No one is holy like the Lord-
no, no one except you!
There is no rock like our God! 1 Samuel 2:2
Life Point:
Our faith calls us to powerful acts of thankfulness. One small act of thankfulness can become a giant leap of faith.
Reflect On:
What has God given you that you will give to God with thankfulness?
